Concrete coatings for every kind of space.
Different floors have different demands. Sunlight, moisture, vehicle traffic, chemicals, temperature changes, appearance, and how quickly the space needs to return to service can all affect which coating system makes the most sense.
Bulletproof Coatings offers multiple coating technologies and decorative finishes so we can match the system to the project, not force every project into the same solution.
Coating system vs. finish: what's the difference?
Terms like epoxy, polyurea, polyaspartic, flake, metallic, and marble are often used interchangeably, but they don't all describe the same thing.
Epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurea
These describe the coating materials or technologies themselves, what the floor is actually made of.
Flake, Brindle, Metallic, Marble
These describe how the finished floor looks, the decorative style applied on top of the material.
A decorative flake floor, for example, may use different coating materials within the overall system depending on the project. The goal isn't simply to choose a product name. It's to build the right complete system.
Epoxy
Epoxy is one of the most recognized concrete coating materials. It bonds well to properly prepared concrete and can provide excellent build, coverage, and decorative versatility. Epoxy can be used as part of solid-color, decorative flake, and metallic flooring systems.
- Strong adhesion to properly prepared concrete
- Excellent decorative versatility
- Creates a smooth, seamless surface
- Available in numerous colors and finishes
- Ideal for many indoor applications

Metallic Epoxy
Metallic epoxy is less about hiding the concrete and more about creating a statement. Metallic pigments move through the epoxy during installation, producing flowing patterns, highlights, depth, and color variation. Because the material moves as it cures, no two metallic floors are exactly alike.
- Highly decorative
- Smooth, seamless appearance
- Flowing color and visual depth
- Unique finished pattern
- Wide range of color combinations
Polyaspartic
Valued for durability, UV stability, and a fast cure, polyaspartic is the topcoat we use across most systems where sunlight exposure, turnaround time, or high performance matters most.
- UV stable
- Fast curing
- Durable finished surface
- Excellent clarity for decorative flake systems
- Suitable for many interior and exterior applications
Polyurea
Like polyaspartic, polyurea is typically used as a topcoat or base layer within a complete system rather than on its own, valued for flexibility, durability, and fast cure characteristics.
- Flexible coating properties
- Strong durability
- Fast cure characteristics
- Well suited for demanding environments
- Works well within decorative flake systems
Flake flooring.
Flake flooring is one of the most versatile ways to finish concrete. Decorative flakes are broadcast into the coating while it is wet, creating a multi-colored surface with texture, visual depth, and a more forgiving appearance than a single solid color. A clear protective topcoat seals the system.
Blended Flake
Traditional multi-color blends ranging from subtle neutrals to bold color combinations. Flip through a few examples below, these aren't all the colors we offer, just a sample.
Brindle Flake
A more heavily varied blend that mixes contrasting tones for a mottled, multi-dimensional appearance. Flip through a few examples below, these aren't all the colors we offer, just a sample.
Solid Flake
A clean, uniform color with the same durable build underneath, without the multi-color broadcast. Flip through a few examples below, these aren't all the colors we offer, just a sample.
Custom Blends

How a flake floor
is actually built.
Every job is built layer by layer, not sprayed on and hoped for. Not every project uses every layer, your specific layer installation is determined based on concrete condition, location, and how the space is used. Tap or click a layer to see what it does.

You don't have to choose alone.
The best floor isn't necessarily the one with the longest list of features. It's the one that matches your concrete, environment, expectations, and budget. Tell us what you're coating and what you want the finished space to look like, we'll help narrow down the options.
